Has anyone reported this establishment to the tx. Board of health & public safety? There is apparently the same problem arising. Whether it's isolated to 1 room or not, they are aware from the reviews listed, and are going as far as to discredit the individuals presence but offering an apology for their disgruntlness. Those conditions listed by the other patrons ARE NOT exaggerated. If the state is aware and nothing is being done, it's designated without a doubt, a "health hazard"
The service has been great so far. The staff has been extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious. I do wish the shampoo in the bathroom had more quantity than a single use for when you forget your own, but that's a small quibble. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I come this way.
Got rooms for a hunting trip with the boys, dude in the office was awesome, the resident painter was awesome, Charlie Brown was awesome, great location, exactly what you would expect for a small town motel! Beers with the boys kinda place!
The place to be away from home in the city of Houston where sound of shots being fired, speeding cars, siren all day and night. Sportsman's is the quiet comfortable clean place for me. If needing anything the staff is always ready to assist you absolutely above and beyond.

This is a 'budget' type of motel, no breakfast nook, pool, etc. But the room was clean, and the manager was very helpful and pleasant. The town is much quieter than a place out on the Interstate, and close to the lake and Attwater Prairie Chicken NWR. I'd stay here again.
Super clean rooms. There's nothing fancy about this place. But i was impressed with how tidy and neat the rooms are. You will need to bring your mobile Keurig, clothes iron and hair dryer though. The beds are comfortable. I dont like my mattresses quite that soft but id rather have them too soft than to feel like i was sleeping on a bed made of concrete. i would def recommend this place to stay at.
For $60 with tax it was about what I expected. Older place but was clean for its age. I had 2 service dogs that they accommodated without any issue and even gave me a 2 bed room. Mexican place next door left more to be desired than the motel! For a quick decision and just wanting a bath and a good nights sleep Ive no regrets.
